You can show prices from your own broker or data account on a TradeZoro chart. This page explains what that means, in plain words.

The short version
  • Market data only. TradeZoro reads prices. It never places, changes or cancels orders.
  • We do not read your balance, positions or orders.
  • Prices go from your account straight to your browser. They do not pass through TradeZoro servers.
  • You stay in control. Disconnect at any time in TradeZoro (Data source, then Forget this connection) and in your Alpaca account.

Sign in with Alpaca

  1. Open a ZoroCharts page and tap Data source.
  2. Pick Alpaca, then tap Sign in with Alpaca.
  3. Log in on Alpaca's own page. TradeZoro never sees your Alpaca password.
  4. Alpaca shows its authorization screen. TradeZoro asks only for the data permission.
  5. You come back to TradeZoro, connected. Open a stock or ETF, for example AAPL. The chart is labelled Data feed: your Alpaca.

Alpaca's authorization wording says an app may be allowed to place transactions at your direction. That is Alpaca's standard text for every app. TradeZoro asks for the data permission only and has no order feature.

Take it back

  • In TradeZoro: Data source, Alpaca, Forget this connection.
  • In Alpaca: remove TradeZoro from your connected apps in your Alpaca account settings.

Other sources use the same rule: prices only. Your data provider terms still apply, and the feed is for your own use. Need help? Contact support (Help, then New support ticket).
